Irish designer Virginia Macari launches her new collection - The Paradise Collection - in Marbella

Irish designer Virginia Macari celebrates the launch of her fourth couture swimwear collection with a star-studded fashion show at the exclusive Puente Romano Hotel in Marbella on May 5th. Distinguished guests at the sizzling launch included the stunning Rosanna Davison and Vogue Williams along with top UK model Roxy Horner and the who’s who of Spain’s most elite models and socialites.

At the hotly anticipated luxury event, a photocall was held featuring Vogue Williams, Rosanna Davison and Roxy Horner, after which, Vogue  turned to the DJ decks for the most glamorous fashion show of the calendar year, followed by an unforgettable party for the 200+ guests. Esteemed guests were treated to goodie bags from Ireland’s Number 1 Luxury Tan, Bellamianta. The female powerhouse behind Bellamianta - Lisa and Linda - were also be in attendance.

 Introducing the world to her fourth collection - one that’s bolder than previous collections while at the same time classic and elegant - Virginia Macari says: “It was a great honour that Puente Romano hosted my fashion show. It’s a wonderful compliment to both the brand and myself. I was so happy showing the world my Summer 2017 Collection at what’s sure was an unforgettable event.

Earlier this month, The Paradise Collection was brought to life by Brazilian beauty and top model Cindy Mello, who dons an exquisite selection of pieces, all of which has been styled by Virginia herself. Shot on location on a magnificent Sail Boat & Beach in Lagos in Portugal, there’s no surer way to get yourself in the mood for a luxurious, scorching summer.
The couture designer’s offering features stylish beach cover-ups, statement bikinis and pays a particular homage to the return of the elegant one-piece swimsuit. Highlights from the collection include an incredible strapless, structured swimsuit in a hot pink; block colours are a defining feature here, as seen also with a striking, sea blue halter piece with rouched detail.
No swimwear collection is complete without a nod to every woman’s love of monochrome, for which Virginia has designed a white one-piece with a sexy, plunging neckline and a lace up detail on the sides and a number of elegant black separates. For those who gravitate towards a bold and brave pattern, you’ll find tropical leaf prints for an exotic flare and Virginia’s signature leopard print.
Moving away from the swimsuits and bikinis, the black lace cover-up with a sultry, sheer appearance is the ultimate beachwear statement.
