Often nicknamed the Costa del Golf, the coast in Southern Spain is no doubt one of the best places to play golf in Europe. You may think weâÂÂre biased in some way, and you might be right, but donâÂÂt just take our word for it, with more than 100 courses to choose from, weâÂÂre sure youâÂÂll find one to love â if not more!
On your journey from the airport, youâÂÂll notice the coast is littered with courses, each one different to the next, but all equally as beautiful. The climate here is perfect for spending a day on the course, we are blessed with more than 300 days a year of glorious sunshine â perfect conditions for a round or two. And donâÂÂt for one minute think that these are exclusively or predominantly male orientated courses, thereâÂÂs plenty on offer for the ladies and kids too.
Many of the Costa del golf courses on the coast are proud to be championship courses, having held prestigious golf tournaments like the hotly contested Ryder Cup at Valderrama in 1997, and even some being designed by the pros themselves. So you can be pretty chuffed with yourself if you make it round 18 holes only being a few over par! And a lot of the courses have top-class restaurants and spas attached to the clubhouse, so if golf isnâÂÂt your thing, thereâÂÂs always something for you to do to pass the time.
We plan a lot of golfing holidays, with most groups choosing to stay in their own private rented villa. Whichever part of the coast youâÂÂre staying, we can provide restaurant recommendations and bookings, or if youâÂÂd rather stay in your accommodation in the evenings, let the coastsâ gourmet food come to you.
