Club Hipíco El Dorado situated in the picturesque countryside of Mijas Costa is only 10 minutes' drive from the N340 and La Cala. Founded in 2000, the riding stables is now one of the most luxurious on the Costa del Sol and is a family run business which has various options available for those who are keen horse-riders, owners and beginners living or visiting Marbella.

The stables has three riding arenas with fiber footing including a dressage arena measuring 70x30m, a smaller arena measuring 40x20m for lunging, breaking in horses and pony lessons, and a jumping arena of 100x60m which has a year round complete jumping course always set up. There is also 7 paddocks, a horse walker, 5 showers, 50 boxes for the horses and ponies and riders can make use of the beautiful surroundings for long hacks. They charge for 1, 2 or 3 hour hacks. El Dorado Riding stables really is one of the best in Marbella and such a wonderful friendly atmosphere too!

The riding stables caters for every level of horse rider from beginner to well experienced and has trainers on site for those first lessons where you start learning to ride and for the dressage and jumping disciplines who will teach from preliminary all the way to GP. Lessons can be given in English, Spanish, Dutch, German and French making it the ideal stables for you to learn a new hobby or continue with a lifelong passion.

Private lessons cost 30€ for 45 mins and they are cheaper when bought in a block of 10 or when you take a lesson as part of a group.

The stables also offer great facilities for those who already own horses and offer various livery options including basic - cleaning of the box, hard feed 3 times a day, hay twice a day, turnout and rugging service; and competition - cleaning of the box, hard feed 3 times a day, alfalfa twice a day, turnout and rugging service and option of 2 lessons or 2 x exercise a week.

During the Marbella summer holiday period Club Hipíco El Dorado offers a summer camp which is divided into daily and weekly camps where your child can learn everything from management, responsibilty and riding. There is also a pony club where your child can learn how to ride and handle a pony and build up their confidence in a relaxed atmosphere with specialized guidance from qualified teachers. If your children are horse mad this would be a great fun and unforgettable part of their holiday. The cost is 50€ per day from 9am-2pm or 450€ for 10 days.
