Hermes

The Hermes boutique in Puerto Banus sells silk scarves, silk ties, fragrances and bracelets. Founded in 1837 in Paris by Thierry Hermés, the brand was originally created to make harnesses and saddles for the horses of noblemen in France but soon it turned into an accessories and clothing brand with collections created for the wives of these noblemen and the rest of the Parisienne elite.

Nowadays the company produces some of the most well-known handbags and other accessories with celebrities and the super-rich scrambling to get their hands on these most coveted items. Undoubtedly the most famous bag is the Birkin bag created for and named after actress Jane Birkin.

The company also creates other leather goods and fragrances which have been made since 1951 and recently their sister manufacturer Saint-Louis glass has also appeared in stores. 

The Hermés store in Puerto Banus is on the second line at the Western end of the port.
