The Butterfly Children Charity (DEBRA Spain) is a non profit organisation with the aim of improving the lives of Butterfly children and their families.

DEBRA Spain is the national charity working on behalf of people in Spain with the genetic skin blistering condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB). DEBRA Spain (the Butterfly children charity) is a non-governmental organization formed by people with EB, a team of social and health professionals specialized in EB, as well as friends and collaborators. It was founded in 1993 and is designated as a “registered and audited charity” by the Internal Affairs Ministry of Spain.

Butterfly children live with a rare and incurable condition. It is characterised by an extreme fragility of the skin. The lightest touch causes blisters and painful open wounds. The charity offers the following support to patients: specialist nursing assistance for patients, counselling for patients and families, and advice and mentoring for health professionals in both public and private sector. If you are interested in contacting this organisation, use the enquiry form on this page.
