The Marbella Feria kicks off on the evening of the 5th of June with a grand opening ceremony ending with a spectacular firework display down on the Paseo Maritimo.
The Daytime Fair (Feria de Día) is Located in the heart of Marbella, typically around Alameda Park and the streets of the old town.
The Nighttime Fair (Feria de Noche) will be held just below La Cañada shopping Centre, with buses running frequently from the town centre.

Departing from the upper part of Salinas Street, the march of King Fernando (on horseback) accompanied by his entourage begins, slowly descending towards Trinidad Street.

Arrival of the procession at the Church Square, where the 'Royal' or King's camp is installed. The King settles there, awaiting the conclusion of negotiations between Count Ribadeo (the King's commissioner) and Alcaide Abuneza.
Once the Capitulations are signed, King Fernando moves to the junction of the staircase descending from the fortress to Church Square.
The Governor comes down with his entourage to deliver the city keys to the Sovereign; he receives them on behalf of the Monarchs (a dialogue occurs between them).

The King departs with his entourage: Carmen Street, General Chinchilla Street, Plaza de los Naranjos, City Hall, knight investiture, Santiago Hermitage (the entourage stops here), the King gives thanks to Saint Mary the Virgin, Cardinal Mendoza “Christianizes” what was then one of Marbella's minor mosques, placing it under the protection of Saint James the Apostle and Saint John the Evangelist.

After the ceremony, the King, accompanied by his close associates, enters the City Hall, and if the municipal authorities agree, he will go up to the balcony with the Mayoress to witness the display of the city's banner while listening to the national anthem.

After the ceremony, the return to the Church square begins via the same route previously mentioned. The King rests with his nobles in the camp.

In the Church square (next to the statue of Saint Barnabas), a copy of the Capitulations is handed over to a representative of the Honorable City Council, and the royal decree is also delivered to the Elder Brother of the Brotherhood of Saint Barnabas Pilgrims, appointing Saint Barnabas as the Patron Saint of the city of Marbella.
Following this, the fourth historical recreation for the year 2023 is concluded.
